Award-Winning Sunroom Design
I wanted to showcase one of my favorite spaces from our recent award-winning Woodbury residence: the sunroom.
This home earned 1st Place in the 2025 ASID Design Excellence Awards for Residential Design - Multiple Rooms/Entire Residence, and this room quickly became the heart of the home.
Positioned between the dining room and outdoor deck, with double doors opening to the forest beyond, we designed this space as a seamless bridge between indoors and out. Every detail was intentional:
- Plush sectional with chaise for ultimate relaxation
- Fireplace and built-in entertainment for cozy evenings
- Curated nature-inspired artwork including a striking mountain lion photograph
- Hair-on-hide ottoman and swivel rockers for flexible seating
- Matching wood chests with glazed silver hardware flanking the fireplace
- Washable fur throw—because luxury should be livable
The Design Challenge: Creating clear flow from dining room through the sunroom to the outdoor kitchen without sacrificing comfort or style. Our solution? Precise CAD furniture planning that made the traffic path feel effortless.
